Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more that 3.500 partent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

As an apprentice Applied R&D Engineer, you will embark on a two-year program designed to build expertise in data architecture, AI development, cloud deployment, and data governance. You will contribute to real-world projects, including generative AI tools, cloud-based data solutions, and advanced data integration frameworks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing skills in leadership, project management, and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Data Architecture Development Assist in building and supervising data architectures, including real-time data engineering, data lakes, and integration frameworks.
  • AI Solutions Implementation Contribute to projects involving machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
  • Cloud Computing Deployment Support the automation and deployment of data solutions on cloud platforms, including continuous integration and MLOps/DataOps practices.
  • Research and Innovation Stay updated with advancements in big data frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, and AI technologies to incorporate best practices into solutions.
  • Data Governance Participate in implementing strategies for data governance, security, and compliance with data regulations.
  • Team Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams to address business challenges using data-driven approaches.
  • Leadership Development Gain experience in managing data projects and leading teams effectively.
  • Educational Background Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise Knowledge of real-time data engineering, big data frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, and data visualization tools.
  • AI Development Skills Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI techniques.
  • Cloud Computing Knowledge Understanding of cloud platforms, MLOps/DataOps, and infrastructure orchestration.
  • Analytical Skills Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communication Skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and present findings clearly.
  • Leadership Potential Interest in developing leadership and project management skills.
  • Proactive Mindset Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
