Job Description

If you enjoy practical work, problem-solving & cutting-edge machinery, an Apprenticeship in Liebherr's Earthmoving Division could be the perfect fit for you.

You will learn to service, maintain and support a wide range of industry-leading earthmoving equipment used across construction infrastructure and civil projects.

Working alongside skilled professionals, you’ll gain real world experience whilst earning a qualification that can open doors to a long & successful career in a growing industry.

Start Date: Monday 18th January 2027

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults while developing strong technical skills.
  • Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Successfully complete your apprenticeship training, attend required trade school and maintain training records.
  • Work across different service areas and participate in on-the-job training to build broad industry experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in everything you do.

Skills & Experience

  • Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering.
  • A genuine interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and developing a long-term trade career.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills, with the ability to complete training and workplace documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills through structured training, on-the-job experience, and trade school attendance.
  • Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and commitment to personal and professional development.
