Apprentice Body Builder & Apprentice Spray Painter

The Opportunity

We currently have two apprenticeship opportunities available:

• Apprentice Body Builder
• Apprentice Spray Painter

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience repairing and restoring heavy vehicles, particularly buses.

What You'll Learn

Apprentice Body Builder

• Perform vehicle inspections and assist with damage assessments
• Repair and replace damaged vehicle components
• Carry out body repairs and refurbishing work to required quality standards
• Assist with mechanical diagnosis and repairs where required
• Ensure repairs are completed safely and in line with manufacturer and company requirements
• Inspect new and recycled parts for quality and suitability before installation

Apprentice Spray Painter

• Prepare vehicle surfaces through cleaning, sanding and masking
• Mix and match paint colours accurately
• Apply primers, sealers, basecoats and clearcoats
• Use spray-painting equipment safely and effectively
• Blend repairs seamlessly into existing finishes
• Complete touch-ups and quality inspections
• Learn drying, curing and finishing processes to achieve high-quality results

You Will Be Required To

• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE
• Handle company equipment and tools with care
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Complete all apprenticeship training and theory requirements by the due date
• Work collaboratively with your team while learning from experienced tradespeople
