Job Description

Job Location: Roechling Automotive Akron - Akron, OH 44312,

  • Learn and assist with setup, startup, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Support Process Technicians and Engineers in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with machine parameter adjustments to meet quality and production goals.
  • Participate in mold changeovers, process validations, and production startups.
  • Learn scientific molding principles and process optimization techniques.
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-related issues.
  • Monitor product quality and assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Learn to work with automation systems, robots, and material handling equipment.

Qualifications: Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Must be willing to return to school and complete required technical coursework as part of the apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to commit to a structured 3-4 year apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Reliable transportation to both work and educational training locations.

Preferred

  • Technical school coursework or vocational training.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with injection molding, machinery, or industrial equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting or mechanical repair experience.
