Job Description

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 1st - 4th Year Apprentice Plumber to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton AB, working on a project with several properties across the Edmonton area.

The Apprentice Plumber is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
• Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs
• Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines
• Trouble shooting boiler systems
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
• Guaranteeing all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements
• Rotating on call shifts are required

Qualifications:

• Registered Plumber Apprenticeship is required and must be currently active
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.
• Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read drawings and blueprints
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
• Experience in commercial construction an asset
• Experience in service plumbing an asset
