Job Description

Location: Maidenhead SL6 4UW

37.5 Hours a week (9:00am-5:30pm)

Working as part of our Logistics team based out of our Maidenhead Warehouse, you will work under the day-to-day supervision of the Warehouse Manager to support with IT equipment (laptops, printers, phones etc) triage, reimaging, repair and refurbishment. Included in your training, you will be given exposure to learn all aspects of the warehouse functions, including day-to-day administration, picking, packing, staging and other warehouse tasks that may be required. There will also be a related level 3 Digital Service Technician qualification, with an expected 1 day a week study or college attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, reimage and refurbish IT equipment (laptops, printers, phones etc) ready for deployment.

  • The safe receipt, storage, retrieval, tracking and timely dispatch of goods.

  • Accurate completion of documentation both digital and hard copy for all stock movements (incoming and outgoing).

  • Ensure location details are accurate and updated regularly to ensure stock accuracy and to assist with annual wall to wall stocktaking requirements.

  • Close working with all teams, including the service desk, engineering team, facilities, transport, and management.

  • Meeting all Health and Safety, hygiene requirements, Fire safety etc. complying with current legislation.

  • The security of the buildings and stock. Ensure all damages are correctly recorded and notified to relevant stakeholders.

  • Manage and engage in the picking, packing and distribution activity.

  • Compliance with all warehousing and shipping legislative requirements.

  • Report and escalate to management as needed any issues.

  • To help maintain workplaces through regular cleaning routines, to ensure that they are safe and without health risks, including means of access and egress, with adequate facilities and arrangements for colleague welfare.

  • May be required to operate forklift trucks to move, load, and unload stock within the facility (when forklift training and certificate has been completed)

  • Working safely and efficiently within a high-risk, hazardous warehouse environment.

  • Adhering strictly to on-site health and safety protocols and handling procedures.

Required skills:

  • An interest in technology and computing/electronics, computer literate

  • Experienced in the use of MS Windows and MS Office applications

  • Self-Motivated and disciplined

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Able to lift and move boxes of up to 20Kg

  • Work on your own initiative and as part of a team

  • Able to work with tight deadlines

  • Honest and trustworthy

  • Respectful and reliable

  • Due to the hazardous nature of the working environment and high-risk machinery operations, applicants must be aged 18 or over.

  • Minimum grade 4 English and Maths GCSE pass

  • Ideally a GCSE pass in Computer Science or Science subjects

Salary: age 18-21 £21,157.50, 21 or over £24,784.50

25 days holiday + bank holidays
