The Consumer Investigation Unit (CIU) Apprentice Investigator is an entry-level investigator position. You will conduct investigations into allegations of violations of Alberta's Consumer Protection Legislation, obtain evidence for purpose of seeking the truth, and taking appropriate enforcement action. Investigations assigned directly to you will generally be a lower level of complexity. You may also work in a team led by more senior investigators who are conducting complex investigations completing assigned investigative tasks.
Investigators are required to promote a fair marketplace by providing information to the public and business community and they will also be required to provide testimony in Court or Administrative Enforcement Appeal Hearings.

The competition will be used to fill one (1) Temporary position for up to 4 months.
The successful candidate will be required to work in Calgary, scheduled Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day for a total of 36.25 hours per week.
