We are seeking an Apprentice HVAC Mechanic for Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic Services supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center (TRACEN) Birmingham Southern in Birmingham, Alabama.
This project will provide professional HVAC&R maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective repair, equipment assessment, and work-order support for the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Birmingham Southern Facilities Engineering Department. The requirement encompasses HVAC&R systems supporting sixteen campus facilities.
This is an on-site position at U.S. Coast Guard TRACEN Birmingham, Alabama, Monday–Friday. On-site access is generally available between 0730 and 1600 CST; Terrestris is responsible for managing and scheduling its workforce to meet contract performance requirements.

So, what will the Apprentice HVAC Mechanic at Terrestris do?
The Apprentice HVAC Mechanic will support the Lead and Journeyman HVAC Mechanics in the preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of commercial and industrial HVAC&R systems. This position is intended for an individual developing skilled HVAC&R trade capabilities through hands-on experience, training, and supervised field work. This position requires hands-on work in support of commercial and industrial HVAC&R maintenance. Employees must be capable of working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other facility locations and must be able to safely use standard trade tools and required PPE.
