As an apprentice, you will join one of our flagship trading services – LCH SA, a leading global clearing house providing clearing services to international clients.

Eligibility

To beeligible,you should be either on track to enter amaster'sdegree in 2026 or currently enrolled in a master's degree inan engineering subjecti.e.computing, computer science,mathematicswith aninclination towardsfinance

Please note that the duration of the apprenticeship will vary from 1 year to 2 years, depending on whether you are a Master 1 or Master 2 student.

We will work with you during the recruitment process to understand your strengths and interests todeterminethe right pathway for you.Depending on your placement, you may joinour FLR(First Line Risk) or SLR(Second Line Risk)teams.

FrontLineRisk

• Implementing Python tools for the estimation of risk parameters used in margin calculations, including:

• Daily monitoring of parameter evolution

• Automated analysis of parameter movements

• Impact analysis of parameter changes

• Producing reporting on results

• Automating data loading processes (static and dynamic datasets)

• Contributing to continuous process improvement

SecondLine Risk

• Margin andstress testingreplication library

• Marginmodel back testingdocumentation and enhancements

• Statisticalback-testing annual model validation

• Reverse stress testing framework enhancements

What We are Looking For

• A demonstrable interest in financial markets and the banking sector, developed through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities, with a particular curiosity aboutfinancialrisk and how marketsoperate

• Some understand and an interest in gaining exposure to databases,VBAor SQL

• Demonstrated experience in Python as the preferred language during your apprenticeship

• You will need to show excellent French and English written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Officeand other technology tools,and have an interest inlearning financial data tools

• Being able to see the bigger picture and make connections between different things is a great skill to have. 

• Our teams work quickly and things can change fast, so you’ll need to show you can focus, bounce back from setbacks, and roll with whatever comes your way.

Recruitment Process:  

• The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application andsubmittingyour resume.  

• The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into whatit’slike to work at LSEG 

• Thesecondstage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength-based-interview style 

• The final stage is a half day assessmentcentrewhich involves severaldifferent typesof exercises – further information is provided at the point ofinvite

Éligibilité

Pour être éligible, vous devez soit être sur le point d’intégrer un master en 2026, soit être actuellement inscrit dans un master en ingénierie, c’est-à-dire informatique, sciences informatiques, mathématiques avec une orientation vers la finance.

Veuillez noter que la durée de l’apprentissage varie d’un an à deux ans, selon que vous êtes étudiant en Master 1 ou Master 2.

Nous travaillerons avec vous tout au long du processus de recrutement afin de comprendre vos forces et vos intérêts pour déterminer le parcours qui vous conviendra le mieux. Selon votre affectation, vous pourrez rejoindre nos équipes FLR (First Line Risk) ou SLR (Second Line Risk).

Front Line Risk

• Mise en place d’outils Python pour l’estimation des paramètres de risque utilisés dans le calcul des marges, incluant :

• Suivi quotidien de l’évolution des paramètres

• Analyse automatisée des mouvements des paramètres

• Analyse d’impact des modifications des paramètres

• Automatisation des processus de chargement de données (jeux de données statiques et dynamiques)

• Contribution à l’amélioration continue des processus

Second Line Risk

• Bibliothèque de réplication des marges et des tests de résistance

• Documentation et amélioration du back-testingdes modèles de marges

• Validation annuelle du modèle par back-testingstatistique

• Améliorations du cadre de reverse stresstesting

• Expérience démontrée en Python comme langage privilégié durant votre apprentissage

• Vous devez démontrer d’excellentes compétences écrites et orales en français et en anglais.

• À l’aise avec Microsoft Office et autres outils technologiques, avec l’envie d’apprendre à utiliser des outils de données financières

• Être capable de voir l’ensemble et de faire des liens entre différents éléments est une compétence précieuse.

• Nos équipes travaillent vite et les choses peuvent changer rapidement, donc vous devrez montrer que vous savez vous concentrer, rebondir face aux obstacles et vous adapter à toute situation.

Processus de recrutement :  

• La première étape du processus de recrutement consiste à déposer votre candidature et à soumettre votre CV.

• La prochaine étape est une évaluation en ligne immersive, sans limite de temps. Cette évaluation est conçue pour vous donner un aperçu de ce que c’est que de travailler chez LSEG.
