MHLB-Memorial Hospital Los Banos
Under supervision, performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and other related work as required. Skills are developed through training programs and then applied to maintenance and repairs of equipment including vessel boiler, electrical, air-conditioning refrigeration, plumbing, as well as a working knowledge of all other skill areas. This position is a bridge training and a stepping stone to an engineer role.
Job Description:
"Earn While You Learn" - This 24-month apprenticeship program provides a structured path to becoming a Stationary Engineer. Apprentices start at 70% of the minimum Stationary Engineer rate and receive regular wage increases as they progress through the program, reaching 100% of the minimum Stationary Engineer rate upon successful completion.
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Ability to work well with others.
Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize/ prioritize work.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action.
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations as required by the job.
Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

Pay Range is $48.21 to $67.49 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
