Kal Tire in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is growing its mechanical team and is looking for a 4th Year Registered Apprentice who is confident performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. Registered Journeyperson Automotive Service Technicians who are interested in joining our team are also encouraged to apply, with compensation adjusted to reflect certification and experience. Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of mechanical repairs, maintenance services, and inspections on passenger and light truck vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components.
• Complete wheel alignments, shock and strut replacements, and front-end repairs.
• Remove, install, repair, and balance tires safely and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics and accurately identify mechanical concerns.
• Operate and maintain alignment and service equipment, including flush machines.
• Complete oil, lube, filter, and preventative maintenance services.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to team members and customers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high-quality workmanship

Qualifications:

• Registered Apprentice in an Automotive Service Technician Program
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and confidence performing repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical capability to work in a demanding environment, including heavy lifting and frequent movement.
• A safety-focused mindset with a positive, respectful, and professional attitude.
