Apprentice & Employment Consultant

Skill Hire supports over 270 school leavers and adult apprentices in completing their trades across a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, building and construction, mechanical, administration, and more.

With partnerships spanning 100+ small businesses and national organisations, we are committed to matching apprentices with host employers who align with their goals, skills, and ambitions.

We are seeking a driven and people-focused Apprentice & Employment Consultant to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will manage a diverse caseload of apprentices and trainees, guiding them from commencement through to successful completion, while also contributing to business growth and building strong client relationships.

A trade background is highly regarded, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and support apprentices and trainees throughout their lifecycle
• Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business opportunities
• Promote Australian Apprenticeships across your region
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Source, screen, and assess candidates to meet client workforce needs
• Identify emerging market trends and opportunities for growth
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of recruitment and training outcomes

About You

• Proven experience in sales or business development, with strong relationship-building skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
• Understanding of employment and training needs (apprenticeship mentoring experience highly regarded)
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously
• High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
• A trade background (Highly desireable)

Requirements

• Current WA Driver’s Licence
• Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
• Full working rights in Australia
