We are currently seeking an experienced Appointed Person to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Appointed Person will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of lifting operations on our client's worksites. This role requires a highly organized and safety-focused individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the main point of contact for all lifting operations on the worksite, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and company policies.

- Conduct thorough risk assessments and create lifting plans for all lifting operations, considering factors such as load weight, equipment, and environmental conditions.

- Supervise and coordinate the work of crane operators, riggers, and other lifting personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.

- Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and certified.

- Monitor and report on the progress of lifting operations, addressing any issues or delays that may arise.

- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are aware of the lifting plan and any potential hazards.

- Keep accurate records of all lifting operations, including risk assessments, lifting plans, and equipment inspections.

- Train and mentor junior lifting personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Appointed Person in the construction or oil and gas industry.

- Valid Appointed Person certification from a recognized organization.

- Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as LOLER and BS7121.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and supervise lifting operations.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proven track record of conducting risk assessments and creating lifting plans.

- Experience in conducting equipment inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
