Job Description

Being part of R&D Customer support under CNS SSP organization, we are constantly working on emerging technologies and new product releases. The team consists of product experts for such leading 5G products like UDM (unified data management), SDL (shared data layer), NPC and we also cater to other products of SDM/REGISTERs portfolio like CSD/HSS/HLR/One-NDS/EIR/MNP/AAA. We work through NPI (new product introduction) process to deploy/integrate 5G products. functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Our goal is to support customers via NPI process (new product introduction) to complete their project commitment with highest quality, while provide dedicated SPOCs for our lead customers to enable faster turn around and resolutions.
  • We are responsible forE2E of Customer Project (Deployment, Integration, customer acceptance Test cases development and Execution) and importantly trouble working on troubleshooting complex issues working along with R&D)
  • We also perform ticket handling/Emergency handling to shield R&D from Non-product cases
  • We are accountable also to enable services team members on the latest product/versions.
  • We are challenged to design/create solution to automate troubleshooting/system recovery via AI based tools/desired automated scripts.

You have:

  • 5+ Years Strong understanding of core network elements and solutions, and their business and operational value to telecom operators.
  • Proven expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex customer issues, acting as a subject matter expert and collaborating effectively with virtual, cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Has a good understanding of AI/ML workflows with the scripting expertise (Python/Bash) needed to automate and deploy intelligent solutions.
  • Willingness to participate in Nokia Global Emergency Support and 24×7 on-call activities.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for onsite customer support, project execution, or critical issue resolution.
  • Prior experience in customer interfacing, with the ability to understand customer deployments, architectures, and serviceability use cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of 3G/4G call flows and a good working understanding of 5G call flows.
  • Hands-on experience with 4G/5G Core components, including NPC,CSD, PCRF, VoLTE, DRA, SCP, BSF, and SEPP.
  • Solid understanding of 4G/5G Core Network architecture, with exposure to HLR, HSS, UDM, EIR, and relevant 3GPP standards.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of signaling protocols and interfaces, including Diameter, HTTP/2, REST APIs, JSON, SCTP, and TCP, along with experience working with core network products such as Load Balancers.
  • Practical experience with Linux-based environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms including Kubernetes, VMware, and OpenStack, as well as CSF assets and blueprints (e.g., BVNF, BCMT, BELK).

It would be nice if you also had

  • Strong knowledge of OpenStack administration, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts, with hands-on application in cloud-native products.
  • Expert-level certifications in Public Cloud platforms and/or Kubernetes are a strong advantage.
  • In-depth experience with cloud-ready and cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and DevOps practices.
