Responsibilities

Business Understanding/Opportunity
Identification

• 
  Learn
  the best practices in identifying growth opportunities, understanding strategy
  goals, division-product-strategy goals, and exploring opportunities for machine
  learning applications.
• 
  Mentor
  and teach data science and machine learning to business stakeholders, focusing
  on identifying use cases and opportunities that create value.

Data Preparation and Understanding

• 
  Understands
  where to acquire data necessary for successful completion of the project plan.
• 
  Utilizes
  querying, visualization, and reporting techniques to describe acquired data,
  including format, quantity, identities, and other surface properties.
• 
  Collaborates
  with others to perform data-science experiments using established
  methodologies, statistics, optimization, and probability theory for general
  purpose software and statistical packages.

Modeling and Statistical Analysis

• 
  Leverage
  knowledge of machine learning solutions to identify the best approach to
  complete objectives.

  Understand
  modeling techniques and select the correct approach to prepare data, train and
  optimize the model, and evaluate the output for statistical and business
  significance.

  Construct
  hypotheses, design-controlled experiments, analyze results using statistical
  tests, and communicate findings to business stakeholders

  operational models that run at scale through partnership with data and AI
  engineering teams.

Evaluation

• 
  Understands
  the linkage between the achieved model and business objectives, assists with
  testing models on test applications and real or production data, and analyzes
  model performance.

  Incorporates
  customer feedback into model evaluation, conducts reviews of data analysis and
  modeling techniques to identify overlooked factors, and contributes to
  summarizing the review process.

Requirements

• 
  Education:
  Bachelor's Degree in Statistics,
  Econometrics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+
  years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR
  Master's Degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field.
• 
  Experience:
  1-3+ years of experience in
  developing and implementing machine learning models, statistical models, and
  conducting experimental designs. Experience in Financial Services, Consulting,
  or working with strategy teams is a plus.
• 
  Skills:
  Strong understanding of machine
  learning algorithms and frameworks. Proficiency in programming languages such
  as Python, R, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI,
  D3.js). Strong storytelling capabilities, including communicating complex
  concepts to various audiences.
• 
  Technical
  Proficiency:
  Advanced
  knowledge and applied experience in statistical methods and concepts, including
  forecasting, classification, logistic regression, linear regression, survival
  analysis, and other predictive modeling approaches.
• 
  Language
  : Advanced proficiency in English.
• 
  Attributes:
  Attention to detail with a proven
  ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly.
