We are looking for Applied AI Engineers to act as internal force-multipliers. You aren't a ticket-taker; you are an Internal Consultant embedded directly into teams like Customer Success, Compliance Research, and Operations. Your mission? Find the friction and dissolve it with AI.

🛠️ The Workflow: AI-Native Orchestration

At WorkFlex, we operate differently. If your first instinct is to open an empty IDE and start manually typing boilerplate, you are the wrong profile.

• Orchestration over Coding: You will use Claude Code, Cursor, and agentic workflows to build at a speed that was impossible two years ago.

• Architect’s Mind: You guide the AI to build scalable "sidecar" applications and internal tools that integrate with our core platform via APIs.

• End-to-End Ownership: You build it, you test it, and you run it. You own the lifecycle of your internal products from the first line of (AI-generated) code to production.

🎯 What You Will Do

• Embedded Discovery: You will spend time "on the ground" shadowing Compliance Officers and Success Managers. You’ll identify high-impact automation opportunities that others might miss.

• Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: You will design and deploy internal agents, custom LLM interfaces, and automated research pipelines. You move fast to prove value.

• Consultative Partnership: Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you will work as a peer to Department Heads (CS, Compliance) to define what needs to be built. No Product Managers in between—just you and the problem.

• Smart Integrations: While you mostly build independent sidecar apps, you’ll collaborate with the Product Engineering teams to build secure API-based integrations with our core Java/Angular platform.

• Beyond Low-Code: We use n8n for simple logic, but you are here to go further. You’ll write the Python, Node, or TypeScript "glue" that powers sophisticated agentic workflows.

⭐ What You Need to Succeed

• Experience: 2+ years of professional engineering experience. You need enough "battle scars" to know when AI-generated code is robust and when it’s a hallucination.

• AI-Native Instincts: You are already a power-user of Claude and LLM tools. You understand how to prompt, chain, and audit AI output for high-stakes environments.

• The "Hacker" Mindset: You are tech-stack agnostic. Whether it’s Python for data processing or Node.js for a Slack bot, you use the best tool for the job.

• Communication Mastery: You can sit with a non-technical colleague, listen to their frustrations, and translate them into a technical solution. You are a listener first, an engineer second.

• Self-Sufficiency: You thrive without a manager telling you what to do. You define your own roadmap based on where you can provide the most value to the team.
