WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US:

The AI Enablement team is a newly established, cross-functional team within SimCorp that builds organizational capability and accelerates AI adoption across all business functions. We partner with product teams and functional leaders to deliver AI literacy programmes, co-build sophisticated AI solutions, manage reusable component libraries, and drive value measurement across the enterprise.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you will be a key member of SimCorp's newly established AI Enablement team. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, partnering directly with functions to co-build AI-powered solutions using the latest enterprise AI platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Partner directly with business functions to either advise on or co-build AI-powered solutions using no/low-code and enterprise AI platforms, including Microsoft Copilot and Claude.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of functional and cross-functional low-code AI solutions – from requirements gathering and solution design through to testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Advise functions on the selection, configuration, and integration of AI tools into their existing workflows and systems.
  • Develop and document reusable components – including prompts, agents, workflow templates, and integration patterns – for inclusion in the shared component catalog.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise AI Foundation team to ensure solutions are built on approved infrastructure, meet security requirements, and are compliant with relevant regulations (e.g. EU AI Act, GDPR).
  • Support user adoption by working closely with the AI Learning Consultant to develop role-specific training and additional adoption materials for deployed solutions.
  • Conduct solution assessments and proof-of-concept evaluations to validate feasibility and value before full-scale build.
  • Contribute to best practice dissemination by documenting lessons learned, solution patterns, and reusable assets.

WHAT WE VALUE:

  • 3+ years of experience in solution engineering, technical consulting, or applied AI/automation roles.
  • Experience building working AI-powered solutions using no/low-code platforms (e.g. Copilot Studio, Claude).
  • Solid understanding of large language models, prompt engineering, MCP server, Markdown, and AI agent design patterns.
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional technical solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with Python
  • Experience with API integrations, workflow automation, and connecting AI tools to enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy considerations, and enterprise security requirements.
  • Structured problem-solving approach; able to balance technical depth with pragmatic delivery under time constraints.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in financial services or investment management
