Salary: $180,000 – $280,000 + Competitive Equity

Our client is building autonomous computer-usage agents designed to automate the messiest workflows in enterprise finance operations.
Their systems operate directly through real-world interfaces — navigating portals, processing documents, and orchestrating complex workflows across fragmented systems.
Backed by leading investors including Amplify, the company recently raised a $6M seed round and is rapidly scaling its engineering team.
This is a rare opportunity to join an elite applied AI startup at the earliest stage and help define the intelligence layer powering next-generation software agents.
Design and improve AI systems powering autonomous computer-use agents
Build adaptive agent architectures for dynamic environments
Develop fine-tuning pipelines for customer-specific workflows
Improve browser-agent reliability and decision-making
Optimize inference latency across the stack
Build evaluation frameworks and experimentation pipelines
Design feedback loops that improve agent performance over time
Work on unstructured document understanding systems
Translate frontier AI research into production systems
Improve tool-use reasoning and agent reliability
Ship production-grade applied AI systems end-to-end
Help define the technical direction of the company’s intelligence platform
1–4 years of experience in applied AI / ML engineering
Strong production Python experience
Experience building and shipping AI systems beyond research prototypes
Applied ML experience in production environments
Experience building AI agents, RL systems, or adaptive automation systems
Strong experimentation mindset
Comfortable owning systems end-to-end
Strong product intuition
Excellent communication and concise thinking
Comfortable working fully onsite in SF
Experience with AI agents / autonomous systems
Reinforcement learning exposure
LLM systems in production
Inference optimization
Fine-tuning pipelines
Experience at AI-native startups
Strong systems-level engineering
