Our Applications Engineering team is at the forefront of power system protection, helping customers solve complex technical challenges, develop innovative solutions and adopt emerging technologies. Combining technical expertise with customer engagement, you'll work on everything from protection relay applications and system testing to solution development and customer support, alongside a highly experienced team of power system specialists.
We welcome applications from candidates at all stages of their career and are open to appointing at Applications Engineer, Senior Applications Engineer or Principal Applications Engineer level depending on experience and capability.
Working at the forefront of power system protection, you'll support a diverse range of projects involving SIPROTEC and Reyrolle protection relays, IEC 61850 digital substations, protection and control systems, and transmission and distribution networks. You'll work closely with customers and colleagues to develop solutions, provide technical expertise and help deliver reliable, resilient power infrastructure.
If you don't meet every requirement but believe your skills and experience are relevant, we'd still encourage you to apply.
Why Join Siemens?

No two projects are the same, and you'll have the chance to work across a wide variety of technologies, customers and applications within critical energy infrastructure. As the team often supports emerging technologies and new developments, you'll be exposed to innovative work rather than purely business-as-usual activities, giving you the opportunity to continuously learn and broaden your expertise. Whether you're early in your career or an experienced engineer, you'll be surrounded by knowledgeable colleagues who are passionate about developing talent, supporting each other and delivering technical excellence for customers across the UK and Ireland.
