Job Description

Join our innovative team as an Applications Engineer and drive technical excellence in BLDC motor driver and motor control applications.
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Applications Engineer to join our fast-paced team. As an Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in solving technical challenges, creating novel reference materials, and supporting the design-in activities for our released products. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our customers and the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer support by:
• Debugging customer issues using our evaluation boards and/or customer boards
• Conducting on-site support for customer boards as required
• Reviewing customer application schematics and layouts
• Responding to customer inquiries via forums and email
• Collaborate with vendors on evaluation boards and graphical user interface development
• Support new product developments (NPDs) by:
• Participating in silicon testing to ensure product robustness
• Providing product recommendations and competitive analysis to customers
• Reviewing datasheets to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Designing evaluation boards to support correlation and evaluation activities
• Develop and maintain the Field Applications Engineer (FAE) team's knowledge on BLDC products, including:
• Creating application notes and training materials to explain different use cases and implementations
• Delivering on-site and off-site training to FAEs and customers
• Conduct failure analysis of customer return units, including:
• Performing bench analysis to identify root causes
• Collaborating with design and test teams to provide timely reports to customers

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of semiconductor device fundamentals and analog, power and mixed signal circuit fundamentals
  • Good knowledge on test and measurement equipment’s and associated instrumentation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of software tools like C, C++, Python scripting, Spotfire etc.
  • Hands-on experience in designing PCBs
  • Drive and own complex design and system debugs
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good team player, ability to work with systems, design, test and applications engineering.
  • Ability to independently carry on device debug by application of basic electrical engineering skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time Support
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
