Basic Purpose and Objective
Applications Controls Engineer to support mechanically attached fastener installation systems. PROFIL specializes in mechanically attached fasteners (MAF) both in die (Transfer & Progressive) and Manual operations (C- frame & Hand load cell).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage Feeder PLC programming, storage, and communication with customers.
· Optimize installation system sensing methods, logic, and hardware for robust system operation
· Develop Feeder uptime data collection and communications network
· Provide ongoing support for customer production needs.
· Assist Service Team to diagnose & troubleshoot issues with fastener feeders, and electropneumatic kits (in-die & manual operations)
· Cooperate with team providing feedback for improvement opportunities and lessons learned
· Safety:
o Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.
o Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines
o Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
Work Environment:
· Air-conditioned office and works in an unairconditioned manufacturing facility
· Requires travel 25-50% in the surrounding states.
· Overnight travel may be required
Physical Demands:
· Able to sit or stand for 8 - 10 hours a day
· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelors degree mechatronic engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
· Proven competency in mechatronic systems (simple and complex)
· Prove competence in HMI/PLC (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
· Strong interpersonal skills are required for communicating with the team and the customer
· Experience in tool & die (Presses & Dies) is beneficial but not required
· Good verbal and written skills are highly sought VIA Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
· Problem solving skills
· Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure
Position Type/Expectations of Working Hours
· Full time position
· Regularly scheduled to work 8 – 10 hours a day
· Must be able to work Monday - Friday
