Job Objective:

Supports core functions of EMC applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. The position will have a thorough understanding of their assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. This position independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Provide project management and selection guidance for new applications. Provide analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requests. Coordinate application support with other information technology teams including Sys Admins, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the help desk. Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures. Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments. Work with and mentor junior staff members to document workflows. Serve as Project Manager for major projects. Education:

Essential Responsibilities

1.Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2.Maintain sound independent judgment and reasoning; analyze problems or procedures and select the appropriate course of action to keep systems available and functioning.
3.Act as liaison/team lead between assigned departments and IS technical personnel. Communicate with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitate communications between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Utilize professional discretion when working with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions.
4.Work collaboratively with vendors and users to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Independently facilitate communications between IS personnel and vendor representatives.
5.Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, productivity, financial outcomes, physician or ancillary relations for cost savings, by working independently with users and departments to assess current systems and processes.
6.Independently coordinate and manage all upgrades and maintenance of assigned systems in a timely fashion for assigned departments. Provide technical assistance and support to expert users.
7.Participate on committees and in meetings where issues affecting departments and/or patient care are discussed.
8.Identify and assist with planning for and developing departmental-specific requirements for future product acquisitions.
9.Follow PMO guidelines on all projects, utilize PMO tools provided to manage and communicate project tasks and issues. Train and assist others in utilizing PMO tools and methodologies. Assure that all necessary documentation (e.g., procedure/processes) are properly completed and posted for the help desk and in the knowledge base.
10.Update all open service requests on a weekly basis and communicates updates to the requestor on a weekly basis.
11.Effectively communicate with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitate communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, defines necessary moifications and develop solutions.
12.Accurately and promptly analyze user-requested programming changes, document requests, and facilitate communication between users and IS Systems Analyst staff per change control policy.
13.Work with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Take lead on communications between IS Systems Analyst personnel and vendor representatives. Ensure that all necessary documentation (i.e., procedures, processes) is complete.
14.Utilize excellent time and project management skills as well as organizational and personal skills to work with a variety of people.
15.Perform written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis as requested.
16.Work as lead team member and independently with minimal supervision.
17.Ensure that e-mail and voice mail indicates when unavailable with alternative contact when out of office.
18.Assume administrative tasks to support management as requested. 19. Performs other duties as assigned.
