$70,068.00 - $108,605.00The Applications Analyst works collaboratively with the Assistant Director and the Associate Director of Database Operations to ensure the information needs of the Albany Medical Center Foundation and its internal and external partners are met. The Application Analyst is charged with ensuring highly accurate and timely data entry of gift processing, biographic information, routine database maintenance, and special data clean-up projects into the Foundation’s 100,000 record database. Additional responsibilities include running reports and data queries for gift receipts and quality control and generating receipts.

Specific roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the day-to-day financial gift processing for the Foundation, including sorting checks, credit card payments, Luminate (online) contributions, matching gifts, and monthly recurring gifts.
  • Maintain electronic and physical backup files for all gifts processed, including strategic conversations with Development Officers
  • Process daily gift batch reports, cash transmittals, and reports for reconciliation.
  • Partner with Development Officers, Annual Programs, Alumni Office, and Signature Events team to ensure accurate designation of gifts.
  • Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Database Operations and Financial Reporting on any transactional questions or issues requiring special handling.
  • Generate tax acknowledgements and tribute/honoree letters performing quality control oversight for accuracy, as well as prepare letters for signature and mailing.
  • Prepare end of year tax letters including recurring gifts, employee payroll deduction, and end of year special requests.
  • Register guests and contributions for signature events and Alumni Reunion, including processing payment for event participation, ticket distribution, etc.
  • Maintain the integrity of the donor records with updated address, phone, and biographical information.
  • Maintain relationship with Blackbaud to ensure best practices and new products/improvements/compliance updates are reviewed.
  • Maintain relationships with other departments regarding procedures, quality control and good customer service.
  • Participate in the Development Operations effort to update and maintain a detailed and current policy and procedures manual. This may require updating an existing set of procedures or creating an entirely new document.
  • Ensure the integrity of the database by identifying and implementing ongoing data clean-up processes.
  • As a member of the Albany Medical Center Foundation, extend help and support as required for events (which may occur during non-business hours) or other projects.

Qualification Requirements

  • The Application Analyst must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and the understanding of the importance of consistent and accurate data entry.
  • A positive customer service orientation (for internal and external constituents), strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize are essential.
  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately, react positively and professionally to changing priorities and workloads.
  • The Analyst must be a team player who takes personal responsibility for producing high quality individual work.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and financial experience and fluency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Knowledge of Raisers Edge a plus.

Education, Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; plus relevant work experience, such as fundraising, marketing, high level data entry, database reporting, communications or business.

Experience

  • Three to five years’ work experience in a data-intensive environment is required.
  • Demonstrated competence in the Microsoft Office programs strongly preferred with particular expertise in the creation and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets and mail merge features of Word.
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software a plus.
