Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Application System Administrator

As an Application System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining, configuring, managing, and supporting Colonial Pipeline Company’s packaged applications. This individual contributor role partners closely with technology teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure applications are stable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs. You’ll be trusted to manage day-to-day application operations while supporting enhancements, deployments, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You Get to Do

You will provide operational management for enterprise applications by evaluating, installing, configuring, and deploying systems in alignment with company standards and industry best practices. This role includes daily monitoring and troubleshooting, managing support tickets to meet SLAs, collaborating with internal teams and vendors, supporting application analysis and change management, and providing testing, release planning, deployment, and rollback support for application enhancements and projects.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of experience in application support, database administration, or business systems analysis
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Skills That Set You Apart

  • Oracle database and Oracle application administration experience
  • Experience with SQL databases, CRM, ERP, or financial platforms
  • Project management experience
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or other application or database certifications
  • Low code experience such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Power Apps
  • Low code platform certifications
