Job Description

Kadiak, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Application Support/Test Engineer with a Top-Secret Security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, VA. This is a surge position.

The Application Support / Test Engineer will serve as lead or Subject Matter Expert for our suite of custom applications. Responsibilities include supporting Tier 2 production issues as well as working with team members to support adhoc tasks for the applications.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as subject matter specialist for the Applications Engineering Area.
• Knowledge includes understanding the front end capabilities as well as learning the backend database.
• Resolve complex technical issues, manage incident responses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high uptime
• Analyze data integrity, perform complex data calls and queries.
• Support root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Document processes, SOPs, guides as needed.
• Support regression testing for new deployments.
• Write, implement, and execute test cases.
• Provide training support for on call engineers including writing training job aids and conducting training.
• Participate in projects to evaluate current environment technology and ensure continual innovation and optimization of hardware and software.
• Review and refine relevant operational Splunk alerts for application health

Requirements
• 3+ years related experience.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proactive to address ongoing production issues.
• Must be able to demonstrate working in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field

Clearance requirement:
• Top-secret security clearance
