Job Description

Location: 3/2 Hybrid - Office locations in Fort Myers, FL or Philadelphia, PA or Long Island, NY

Job Type: Direct Hire

Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card holder

The A.C.Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Applications Specialist role to provide day-to-day support for line of business applications used by internal Accounting and Finance teams. This individual will act as technical resource to management and staff, assisting in the standardization and implementation of applications and other technology initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience supporting Accounting/Finance applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist client service professionals’ staff and IT in piloting and deployment of new products and upgrades to existing applications
  • Support application and data integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions
  • Complete current state analysis, requirements gathering, process workflows, and other documentation
  • Act as an escalation point for Help Desk and other staff for application related technical issues
  • Drive resolution of technical and business issues by using the applications, help files, vendor support, blogs, user forums or other online resources
  • Work closely with outside vendors
  • Serve as onsite representative of the IT team monitoring and implementing existing and new technologies in assigned office
  • Appropriately prioritize both IT projects and day-to-day operations
  • Understand business needs, educate staff on technology and how to use it as a strategic asset
  • Stay up to date with key technology development/issues within the technology and accounting industry, specifically enhancements of the Firm’s audit applications

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting applications in accounting industry, including proficiency with one or more of the following: CCH, CCHAccess, Pro Systems, Quickbooks Online, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to coordinate solutions with the business on a non-technical level, and with the IT department on a more technical level
  • Resourceful and innovative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask managing multiple projects and deadlines at one time
  • Willingness to travel to remote offices and industry events as needed
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule hours to ensure successful completion of projects

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Information Technology
