Job Description

Our client is looking for an Application Support Officer who will report to the Head of Technology and Systems.

SERVICE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide guidance and support for application users to ensure that the business application systems supported by the Project Management Services division (PMS) are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
2. Provide support for application configuration and upgrades;
3. Provide resolution for application problems, in conjunction with the users and service providers where necessary.
4. Assist with implementation of projects and provide technical input where required.
5. Assess application functionality and performance and provide information about how it can be improved.
6. Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists;
• A sound understanding of applications and data security.

· Experience

• Experience of supporting business application systems
• Experience in some aspects of providing ICT applications support to users in a customer focused environment;
• Experience of implementing and upgrading business applications; Experience of supporting business application systems

· Qualifications

• A level qualification (with Computer Science as Main Subject)
• Evidence of some professional and personal learning and development
