Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Middle Office Trade Support Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets, Trade Support, and Financial Products Operations to support front-to-back trading activities within a fast-paced financial markets environment. The successful candidate will work closely with trading desks, product operations, risk, and technology teams to support commodities and FICC products while ensuring operational accuracy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in high-pressure trading environments, has strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and is comfortable supporting complex financial products and operational processes across Capital Markets.

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Contract Length: 12+ Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)
Hours: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM EST
Pay: W2: $60/h

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute assigned FICC Trade Support activities accurately and efficiently in support of Commodities, Fixed Income, and Interest Rate Derivatives products.
  • Book, validate, and amend trades within trading systems such as Endur while ensuring trade accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform daily PnL, risk, trade, and position reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or exceptions.
  • Support the resolution of trade breaks and operational issues while escalating risks and exceptions appropriately.
  • Collaborate closely with Capital Markets Trading desks, Product Operations, Risk, Regulatory, and Technology stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of new products, technologies, and operational processes through analysis, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and forums related to project delivery, regulatory initiatives, operational improvements, and technology enhancements.
  • Compile and maintain operational and risk metrics for management reporting purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing trading operations and financial products.
  • Identify operational risks and control gaps within trade support activities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning, process documentation, and operational procedure updates in line with industry best practices.
  • Provide exceptional service and support to internal business partners while maintaining strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of progressive experience within Capital Markets Operations, Trade Support, Middle Office, or Financial Products Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products including:
    • Commodities (Energy, Metals, Metals Financing)
    • Fixed Income Products
    • Interest Rate Derivatives
  • Experience supporting trading desks and operational workflows within Capital Markets environments.
  • Hands-on experience with trade lifecycle management, trade booking, reconciliations, and exception management.
  • Experience working with trading systems and platforms such as Endur or similar financial applications.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and operational risk controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex trade and operational discrepancies.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven trading environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across business and technology teams.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Commodities trading operations within investment banking or capital markets organizations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting FICC and Commodities operations.
  • Experience participating in operational improvement, system enhancement, or technology implementation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with risk metrics reporting and operational controls frameworks.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with trading, operations, risk, and technology teams.
Education
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related discipline.
