How you succeed
This role is required to provide leadership and management of Payment team, who is supporting the critical applications pertaining to the payment domains, such as Interbank transactions via SWIFT Messages, Inward /outward remittance, high-value domestic payment, Instant Fund Transfer via FAST/PayNow, etc. This role is expected to manage and oversee the day-to-day IT operations matters, closely coordinate and work across/with the various IT departments and business stakeholders to ensure the team performance in delivering the applications with agreed SLA.
What you do
Possesses good domain knowledge on Payments which covers Alliance Message Hub, Oversea Remittance, local high/low value of fund transfer, and Instant fund transfer via FAST/PayNow etc. Strong knowledge on SWIFTAlliance applications especially on AMH is essential.
Possesses good domain knowledge of the application architecture/interface flow to review and recommend solutions to maintain the performance/resiliency/stability of the applications and systems.
Possesses good understanding of regulator /compliance requirement for CII /Critical services and maintain the applications to ensure the risk management process is adequately adhered.
Manage audit/certification process for payment applications. Work closely with system owner on annual SWIFT CSP (Customer Security Programme), annual ACH PSP (Participant Security Programme).
Good knowledge of 3-tier architecture applications and ability to provide L2 support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Proactive and flexible, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Who you are
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
Strong technical skillset in shell scripting, Java, PostgreSQL, SQL scripting, Kafka, Kubernetes/Docker, OpenShift, IBM MQ, Redis, Grafana, and Kibana.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
Solid understanding of container platforms, DevOps methodologies, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
