The expected salary for Senior Engineer (ownership at the squad level)

• Core range: 9600 – 17 000 PLN gross
• Exceptional range: 17 000 – 22 000 PLN gross

Exceptional range applies to candidates who extend their squad‑level ownership by taking on high‑complexity performance challenges, leading critical improvements within their module, and providing additional value such as hands‑on AAH operational experience or consistent mentoring support within the squad.

We are looking for you, if you:

• monitor and maintain application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability,
• manage an application on OS level,
• perform performance debugging and tuning in Oracle databases,
• write and optimize PL/SQL and SQL queries,
• are able to analyze & solve problems efficiently,
• are good at communication and are able to deliver results as promised,
• provide 24x7 application support on a rotational basis,
• develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring,
• ensure compliance with IT risk management and DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) framework,

You'll get extra points for:

• understanding of accounting principles and financial processes,
• knowledge of Aptitude Accounting Hub (AAH).

Your responsibilities:

• perform performance debugging and tuning in Oracle databases,
• write, review, and optimize PL/SQL and SQL queries for efficiency and scalability,
• conduct SQL code optimization to improve system responsiveness,
• develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring tasks,
• implement solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency,
• provide 24x7 application support on a rotational basis to ensure continuous service availability,
• respond to incidents promptly, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures,
• monitor and maintain application performance to ensure optimal availability and reliability,
• manage applications at the OS level, including troubleshooting and configuration,
• ensure the environment is secure, stable, and compliant with IT risk management standards,
• ensure adherence to DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) and IT risk management frameworks,
• maintain documentation and audit readiness for regulatory compliance.

Our squad supports application which is a cutting-edge finance management solution designed to centralize and streamline accounting processes across multiple entities and GAAP standards. It supports:

• multi-entity and multi-GAAP accounting with detailed balances in various currencies,
• end-to-end automation of accounting workflows, accelerating financial close and ensuring regulatory compliance,
• advanced features such as double-entry accounting, drill-down reporting, and configurable period-end processing.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
