Job Title: Application Support Engineer – IT Operations

Experience: 2-4 Years

Location: Hyderabad


• Perform initial triage and troubleshooting for applications, websites and backend services related incidents (P1/P2)

• Monitor application health, logs, and alerts using monitoring tools

• Analyze issues related to .NET based applications, APIs, database layers and Angular frontends

• Execute basic SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and issue analysis

• Identify whether issues are related to application, database, infrastructure, or network

• Perform log analysis (IIS logs, application logs, event logs)

• Restart services, validate jobs, and perform basic remediation steps

• Coordinate with development, database, and infra teams for issue resolution

• Ensure proper incident documentation, updates, and closure in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) • Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and provide updates • Follow SLA adherence and escalation procedures • Support deployment validations and post-release monitoring

• Contribute to knowledge base articles and SOP documentation

Technical Skills Required:

• Basic understanding of .NET framework / .NET Core applications

• Familiarity with C# applications

• Working knowledge of Angular-based web applications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server: o Writing SELECT queries o Basic troubleshooting (locks, slow queries, data validation) o Stored Procedures and performance analysis

• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and web services

• Experience with Log monitoring platforms (e.g., Logic Monitor, Dynatrace, etc.) • Basic knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Network & sever components and application hosting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and other APM observability tools

• Exposure to incident/problem/Change management processes (ITIL)

• Knowledge of batch jobs, schedulers (e.g., SQL Agent, SSIS jobs)

• Basic scripting (PowerShell or similar)

• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure) Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication for incident updates and stakeholder coordination

• Ability to work in 24x7 / shift-based operations

• High ownership during critical incidents

• Availability during weekends or holidays based on business needs
