Computershare Technology Services (CTS) provides global technology and infrastructure/support services for existing Computershare proprietary software together with a full range of development services for new products.
A role you will love
This role is responsible for the technical support and maintenance of a broad suite of business, financial and operational applications within Computershare. Working within an Agile environment, providing technical incident and problem resolution for application issues and working closely with multiple support & development groups to improve and enhance business outcomes. This role requires strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business.
- This role requires a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and procedures used to support and monitor enterprise level applications. The role will operate within defined technical and operational procedures, which require proficient knowledge and awareness on how to apply them.
- This role requires a good understanding of how the wider team works together to successfully achieve their team and wider department goals and objectives. The role holder also requires a detailed understanding of all internal products that we support in order to support continuous improvement and project related activities.
- This role will not directly supervise or manage others, but may provide support and guidance to junior members of the team. This may involve undertaking a mentoring role, coordinating tasks and/or checking on completion and quality of work.
- This role can break down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues; can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts, able to develop solutions in a fast-changing environment.
What will you bring to the role?
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant IT related role
- Strong Interpersonal Skills - a good team player
- Proven ability to troubleshoot scripts/applications in different languages such as Java, SQL etc.
- Proven ability to provide workaround resolutions, root cause analysis and major incident management
- Good stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationship
- Infrastructure experience, e.g. AD, DNS, Oracle/SQL, Windows Server Operating Systems, IIS, Load
balancing, Networking, High Availability / Data Recovery, Sumo Logic, Dynatrace, Linux & Control-M. - Understanding of data models and database structures using SQL
- Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
- Has a strong work ethic and is able to deal with conflicting priorities
- Curious and continuous learner – investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts.
- Self-motivated and can use own initiative to work with limited guidance to implement innovative solutions.

- Lead the software development life cycle, from technical design to deployment and support, for the Resiliency Solutions portfolio.
- Coordinate automation planning across multiple teams and functional areas, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- Design, deploy, and provide ongoing support for test automation, enhancing the quality and speed of our software delivery.
- Ensure the quality of your team's work, maintaining high standards and adherence to internal policies and practices.
- Identify and promote technological and practice innovations within your team, improving efficiency and the customer experience.

- Strong working experience with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS), particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
- 5+ years of technical expertise in IBM Information Server DataStage v11.7.1 or later versions.
- Proficiency in Tools - Designer, Director, and Administrator, with a solid understanding of ETL, data warehousing, and data analytics concepts.
- Experience with Shell Scripting and LINUX command, demonstrating a strong foundation in scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies, allowing you to adapt and contribute to different development approaches.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven track record of building positive working relationships and influencing others.
- A proactive mindset, always seeking opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
