As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous vigilance and responsiveness to maintain system stability and support business continuity through effective troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical challenges.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of business applications.
- Document and communicate findings and resolutions clearly to stakeholders and team members.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on technical issues.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring tools and techniques to detect and resolve issues promptly.
- Experience in managing and maintaining SAP environments including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes of problems.
- Familiarity with database administration and backup/recovery procedures related to SAP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
