Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Application Support Analyst is responsible for providing specialized technical support for the Town’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system, Dayforce, as well as providing cross-coverage for other line-of-business applications.

This role works closely with Human Resources and other business units to identify and resolve system issues, configure and implement system changes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure applications effectively support business processes. The Analyst develops reports and performs data analysis to support operational and decision-making needs, while maintaining accurate system documentation.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders, IT team members, and external vendors is essential to deliver reliable, secure, and user-focused application services that support the Town’s digital operations.
Core Accountabilities:
• Act as the primary IT liaison for the Dayforce HCM system, partnering closely with Human Resources
• Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to understand business processes, priorities, and system requirements
• Provide advanced support for application issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee, payroll, and personal data
• Administer and regularly review role-based access and security controls to ensure appropriate governance and compliance
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting reliability or user experience
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and system configuration to enhance efficiency and user adoption
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts, and perform analysis to support HR operations and business decision-making
• Support integrations and data exchanges between the Dayforce HCM system and other corporate systems
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures
• Provide user support, guidance, and training materials to promote effective use of the application and adherence to standard processes
• Coordinate system updates, testing, and changes with HR and vendors, ensuring alignment with governance and change management practices
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across IT, HR, and other departments to support service delivery and continuous improvement
• Manage and respond to service requests and incidents through the IT helpdesk system
• Collaborate with other Application Support Analysts within IT to cross-train on key systems and processes

Education & Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field – required
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an application support or systems support role – required
• Experience supporting HRIS / HCM systems, preferably Dayforce – preferred
• 2–3 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and process improvement – required

Salary & Benefits:
• Pay Range - $49.96 to $52.73 per hour. Compensation will be calculated based on the successful candidate’s related work experience and education
• Full-time temporary position for 1 year
