ROLE PROFILE:

The Application Service Management function resides within the Technology CIO Pillars. It provides operational end-to-end service ownership and support, and plays a key role in incident, problem and change management processes.

The Service Manager (SM) is accountable for service management throughout the service lifecycle and for providing expert input into incident resolution, problem management and change planning. The Service Manager focuses on the customer experience, ensuring that providers and capabilities meet agreed levels. The Service Manager also champions a culture of continuous service improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the end-to-end Site Reliability Engineering function, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure operation of critical enterprise applications and platforms.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing SRE team, fostering accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and ITSM best practices.

  • Drive effective incident response, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and preventive actions to reduce recurrence and improve service resilience.

  • Supervise change planning and execution, ensuring production changes are well-governed, risk-assessed, communicated, and delivered with minimal business impact.

  • Define, monitor, and report on service health metrics including SLA, KPI, availability, performance, incident trends, and operational risk indicators.

  • Partner effectively with engineering, product, infrastructure, security, support, and business stakeholders to deliver a seamless and transparent service experience.

  • Apply strong risk assessment, prioritization, and conflict-resolution skills to drive consensus and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

  • Bring a solid technical understanding of large-scale enterprise applications, cloud or infrastructure operations, monitoring, resiliency, and production support practices.
