Application Owner / Ops Engineer (Hybrid – Brussels)
We are looking for a proactive Application Owner / Ops Engineer to join an Agile development team within a dynamic IT environment supporting critical business applications.
The role combines application support, operational monitoring, incident management, testing, and technical development activities while acting as the main point of contact for assigned applications.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support business applications running in production
Investigate, analyze, and help resolve production incidents and application issues
Collaborate with developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to identify root causes and implement solutions
Test and validate fixes and newly developed software to ensure application stability
Support release activities and deployment processes
Contribute to the development and maintenance of business applications
Write and execute SQL queries, perform analyses, and maintain technical documentation
Follow up on incidents through identification, correction, testing, and communication with users and stakeholders
Provide operational and technical expertise within ongoing projects
Ensure continuity, reliability, and quality delivery of applications and system components
Advise IT teams and business users on application-related improvements and new initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
Experience with:
Oracle SQL and query writing
.NET environments
Active Directory
Azure DevOps Server
Windows Server
ServiceNow or IT Service Management tools
Scrum/Agile methodologies
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace is a plus
Familiarity with SoapUI/Postman, CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell, or Python is considered an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in Agile teams
Good communication and customer-oriented mindset
Comfortable working under pressure during releases and production support activities
Languages
Dutch or French: Native or equivalent level
Second national language: Active knowledge
English: Reading and comprehension skills

2 days onsite per week (including one fixed team day)
3 remote working days per week
