Branch Technology (BT), as part of the Banks IT department, mainly provides first and second level production services to different clients and business lines across Deutsche Bank. In essence, it oversees all operational aspects of the Bank’s IT assets on both infrastructure and application side.

BT is looking for a Technology Services Specialist who will be joining the IT department and will cover Application Operations related tasks and responsibilities with various interfaces to other areas and topics.

The primary focus of this specialist role is to provide support and provisioning for end-user products and applications, as well as Level 2 (L2) support to internal clients. This is a fundamental role in the IT area that are anchored in various key IT policies and processes of Deutsche Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume ownership and responsibility of end user related products and services.

  • Support the business and ensure, that policy-aligned controls are implemented and adhered to, e.g. 4-Eyes-Principles and Segregation of Duties.

  • Foster stability, security and robustness of the IT-Operation’s products, services and processes, with a state-of-the-art design and innovative solutions focusing on internal users.

  • Collaborate with both local and global stakeholders, especially the IT Application Owners, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Vendors and Technical Information Security Officers

  • Coordinate ITIL related process for your processes, such as Incident, Problem and Change management.

Skills:

  • Proven professional experience in related operations or production integrity, ideally with an ITIL based background and experience in major incident handling, incident management and related reporting would be considered an advantage.

  • Initial previous experiences with ServiceNow as a ticket system are perceived positively.

  • Track record of your ability to work collaboratively within a team, to maintain orderly workflows, prioritise skills, and to have a keen sense of urgency or importance of concurrent tasks.

  • Knowledge of Luxemburg regulations and experience in the financial sector is an advantage and knowledge and experience in relevant banking applications, such as Avaloq, and payment applications, such as SWIFT, would be desirable.

  • Basic understanding of banking processes across the front-to-back value chain is advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university (or equivalent Diploma) is preferred and/or 5+ years professional experience in IT-related areas. Fluent in English and German (written/verbal).

The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.
