Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert on the implementation, support, and administration of enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Ensure critical applications and services are effectively monitored with appropriate alerting and reporting mechanisms.
• Define, maintain and suggest monitoring standards, metrics, thresholds, and dashboards across the enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with Development, IT Operations, and Architecture teams to design and implement holistic monitoring strategies.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and end-user experience across complex multi-tier environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring platform issues to ensure high availability and service reliability.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to modernize monitoring platforms and adopt emerging observability technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement, promote new features and built a custom app in monitoring, alerting, reporting, and operational processes.

Must-Have Skills

Application Monitoring & Observability

• Hands-on experience with Geneos, Grafana, Dynatrace and/or Prometheus.
• Strong experience in Enterprise Application Monitoring (APM).
• Expertise in monitoring application performance, availability, and user experience.

Platform & Infrastructure Knowledge

• UNIX/Linux
• Windows Server
• AWS
• AS400
• Multi-tier application architectures
• Application runtime environments

IT Operations & Service Management

• Experience with ITSM tools such as Remedy.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.

Agile Delivery

• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• OpenShift Container Platform experience.
• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience with monitoring platform transformation or observability initiatives.
• Exposure to cloud-native monitoring technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Monitoring, Observability, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications within large enterprise environments.
• Financial institution or banking industry experience will be an added advantage.
