Job Overview

Nikkiso Expander Application Technology (NEAT) is filling a position for an experienced Applications Engineer. The position is responsible for providing proposals/offers for engineering-to-order turbomachinery equipment based on customer specifications and national and international standards. This position is responsible for a variety of application engineering functions and sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with departments to ensure proposals submitted meet requirements for delivery, documentation, testing and technical requirements.
  • Work with sales personnel to ensure customers are provided required information.
  • Communicate with customers to answer technical questions and respond to bid clarifications.
  • Ensure on-time submission of proposals.
  • Provide support for marketing activities.
  • International and domestic travel to support customer meetings as required.
  • Preparation of order book for orders received

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering , Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar software is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience.
  • Specific oil and gas industry experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

  • Experience with customer relation management (CRM) software; SalesForce preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to review proposals for compliance with technical specifications and pricing accuracy for engineered-to-order products.
  • Skilled in time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, NEC, IEC, ISO, etc., are desired
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills.

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:

  • In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

Salary: $70,843 - $98,103 per year (based on experience)
