As an Application Engineer for Drill Bits, you will provide technical and application support to customers and internal teams. You will use engineering analysis, field data, and collaborative problem-solving to recommend drill-bit solutions, improve drilling performance, and support business growth. This role is suitable for a fresh engineering graduate or an early-career professional who is eager to learn and develop within the drill-bit industry.

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical and sales support for drill-bit products and applications
• Supporting the implementation of product strategies, engineering standards, and best practices across the assigned market and the wider Asia-Pacific region
• Working with the sales team to develop account strategies, identify opportunities, and support profitable growth
• Preparing drill-bit proposals, application engineering studies, design recommendations, drilling-parameter guidance, and vibration-mitigation recommendations
• Analyzing drilling data and product performance to identify opportunities for performance improvement
• Collaborating with customers and Baker Hughes design engineers to adapt existing products or develop new designs for specific applications
• Investigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance, identifying root causes, and recommending preventive and corrective actions
• Supporting field activities and visiting rig sites when required

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
• Be a fresh engineering graduate or have one to two years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
• Be able to prepare clear technical information and confidently support customer and internal discussions
• Have an interest in the drill-bit industry and a willingness to develop knowledge of its products, technologies, markets, competitors, and customers
• Be fluent in spoken and written Vietnamese and English
• Be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Be willing to travel to customer locations and rig sites when required
