このポジションについて As an Application Engineer, you will work closely with customers to develop innovative adhesive solutions and provide technical support for electronics applications. You will lead customer projects, drive application development, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to deliver business growth. This role has a strong focus on Camera Module applications and offers the opportunity to support leading customers in a dynamic international environment.

• Visit customers and end-users to understand application requirements, market trends, and competitive activities.
• Provide technical consultation, product recommendations, and application demonstrations to support customer projects.
• Develop and implement adhesive application solutions to improve customer manufacturing processes and product performance.
• Conduct laboratory testing and analysis, prioritize customer sample requests, and communicate technical results and recommendations.
• Lead multiple customer and product development projects simultaneously, providing technical direction and driving decision-making.
• Serve as a key technical expert for Camera Module applications, supporting global customers with a particular focus on the U.S. market.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Innovation, and global technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Translate customer feedback into product improvements, new application opportunities, and business growth initiatives.
• Support the standardization and maintenance of technical documentation across multiple platforms.
• Monitor emerging trends and technologies within the electronics and adhesive industries to identify future opportunities.

• 特にカメラモジュール分野における技術専門家として、主に米国顧客向けプロジェクトをサポートする。
• 営業、マーケティング、製品開発、イノベーション、およびグローバル技術チームと連携し、最適なソリューションを提供する。
• 顧客からの技術フィードバックを活用し、製品改善や新規ビジネス機会の創出に貢献する。
• 技術文書の標準化およびデータ管理の整備を支援する。
• エレクトロニクス業界および接着剤業界の最新技術・市場トレンドを継続的に把握する。

適したスキル

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Several years of experience in an engineering, application engineering, or technical support role within the adhesives, materials, chemicals, or electronics industry.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, data analysis, and technical evaluation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and applications.
• Business-level Japanese and working-level English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20%).

Nice to Have

• Experience with adhesives, sealants, polymers, or functional materials.
• Experience supporting consumer electronics applications such as camera modules, displays, sensors, semiconductors, mobile devices, automotive electronics, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of adhesive characterization and testing methods, including mechanical, thermal, chemical, and electrical property evaluation.
• Experience with analytical and laboratory equipment such as tensile testers, microscopes (Optical/SEM), IR, EDX, GC-MS, GPC, NMR, DSC, TGA, DMA, and TMA.
• Project management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience developing application testing methods and optimizing evaluation processes.
• Experience working directly with customers and translating technical requirements into business solutions.
• Knowledge of global electronics industry trends and emerging technologies.
