Position Summary

The Applications Specialist for Pacific® Valves will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence of the Pacific Valves product portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting sales growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and technically proficient professional who excels at building relationships, delivering product expertise, and collaborating across teams.

Main Duties:

  • Serve as a technical contact on Pacific Valves products specifically for Pressure Seal, Bolted Bonnet, Wedge Plug and HF GGC valves by providing support to the internal teams, customers and channel partners.
  • Define focus applications together with the sales team by leveraging existing product offerings and collaborating with Engineering to propose suitable alternatives when needed.
  • Manage and track the opportunity funnel using Salesforce by collaborating with the sales team, ensuring timely updates and driving opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure.
  • Assist Inside Sales team prepare bids for complex projects, reviewing customer specifications, provide exceptions, and ensure pricing details are clearly defined and aligned with Business Line Manager guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to monitor the progress of special projects, ensuring customers receive timely and accurate updates from initiation through final deployment.
  • Develop and deliver technical training presentations to sales representatives, distributors, and engineers, focusing on product applications, features, and competitive differentiators.
  • Assist the Business Line Manager in developing market forecasts, strategic and operational plans, and supports initiatives aimed at reducing product costs and improving profitability.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and enhancing processes used by the team to increase efficiency, consistency, and overall performance.
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to engage with channel partners and customers, gathering feedback and market insights to inform product strategy and customer support initiatives.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline with 0-2 years of engineering experience.
  • Internship, co-op, research, or engineering project experience in industrial equipment, valves, flow control, and process industries is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Special Requirements:
