
As an Application Engineer a typical day might include the following:
Train and support SEL customers, sales channel, and engineering services staff (internal and external) on Networking and Cybersecurity products and technologies.
Maintain an understanding of industry technology and SEL products.
Author service bulletins, application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets.
Perform competitive analysis.
Develop project use cases.
Establish and perform validation testing.
Create product demonstrations.
Participate in the preparation of technical proposals and commercial bids.
Contribute to existing and new product specifications.
Perform special studies and tests as needed by customers.
Participate in SEL sales and marketing activities and industry technical meetings and conferences.
Develop training courses and best-known methods for network engineering

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
Understanding of operational technology networking and cybersecurity
2+ years working knowledge of Ethernet-based communication practices and philosophies
Excellent technical training, speaking, documentation, and writing skills
Willingness to travel 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

We anticipate filling this position as an Application Engineer. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
Associate Application Engineer: $84,200 - $124,500 per year
Application Engineer: $97,700 - $144,400 per year
Lead Application Engineer: $115,300 - $170,400 per year.
