To support our business, we are looking for a self-starter Application Engineer to work in a dynamic environment and shape the future growth of the company.

The role offers an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to work in a dynamic environment and shape the future growth of the company. You will be part of a team of 13 professional Application Engineers all over Europe. All performed activities will be reported to the European Application Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and train Datacolor equipment, such as color matching software and quality control software at customer locations in EMA, particularly in Germany
• Conduct telephone, email, and web support to help solve color-related problems at customer sites
• Assist the sales team by demonstrating software solutions to potential customers and help them achieve desired results
• Assist in organizing color seminars, customer training events, and webinars, and present to larger audiences over time

Experience & Qualifications:

• Industry experience in color management (Textile, Paint, Ink, Chemicals, Pigments, Plastic, Printing or similar)
• Fluent in German and English; other EU languages are a plus
• Proficient in Windows software and CRM tools (Salesforce.com is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Ability to travel approximately 50%
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience with Colour Matching and Quality Control systems is a plus
• Good computer skills including Sybase, SQL, Citrix and terminal server applications

Location:
Preferred location between North Rhein Westfalen / Hessen / Niedersachsen. Role mainly home-based or at client site.
