Role Overview
The Regional Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of systems support for a large-scale, regional deployment of Access Control, CCTV, Local Alarm Centers (LACs), biometric systems, and key management solutions across data center environments.
This role requires a highly self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently in a remote, global team. The work is often non-routine and complex, requiring advanced technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills within a specialized security systems environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing full lifecycle support for regional Lenel-based access control systems and associated security platforms
Programming, commissioning, and conducting installation reviews for sites across the region and globally, as required
Delivering ongoing operational support for live sites
Designing, deploying, and supporting Local Alarm Center (LAC) workstation solutions, including:
Windows operating system support
Workstation image creation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
Support of all peripheral devices, including biometric and key management systems
Support of the full software application stack
Managing the transition of sites from installation to live monitored environments, including:
Conducting remote site sanity checks with installation teams
Completing formal handover processes with monitoring centers
Ensuring all required project and technical documentation is transferred to operations teams
Resolving systems-related service desk tickets, providing 1st through 3rd line support
Participating in out-of-hours support rotations as required
Performing monthly maintenance activities, including updates, outages, and maintenance windows
Contributing to system upgrade and enhancement programs
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in an equivalent systems engineering or security systems support role
Lenel accreditation preferred, with MASTER-level certification highly desirable
Proven experience supporting regional-scale Lenel environments and associated security systems
Strong hands-on experience with the installation, commissioning, and support of Lenel OnGuard and Milestone CCTV solutions
Experience with Milestone CCTV, Alcatraz AI Biometrics, KeyWatcher, Traka, and HID SAFE is highly advantageous
Relevant certifications or accreditations are preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (server and desktop) and Microsoft Office
Experience with image-based deployments and virtualized environments
Solid understanding of IT fundamentals, including LAN/WAN networking, cloud-based systems, firewalls, and basic network troubleshooting
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently within a remote, distributed team
Willingness and ability to travel regionally, with travel expectations of up to 20% annually
