Job Title (Job Code): Application Drawings Technician (EN-AA-07_001)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Application Drawings activities are related to the design of installation and wiring of Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electric and Electronic components as part of a Signaling project.
- The purpose of the job is to produce application drawings and layouts to be delivered to onsite teams for installation and wiring of outdoor and indoor wayside equipment by adopting the Alstom application design process and ensure the delivery accordingly to the projects schedule and quality commitments.
- The Application Drawings Technician share with Project sub-system design leader the progress of the activities executed and potential issues encountered during the production.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Key accountabilities:
- Deliver design scheme plan layouts, Control Tables, signaling wiring diagrams, signaling equipment Rooms layout, safe Human Machine Interface (HMI) layouts, hardware configuration drawings
- Ensure the application and adherence to the reference application design methods & tools, including signaling standards and principles, electrical and safety rules as well as Computer Aided Design (CAD) state-of-the-art rules, installation, Test & Commissioning (T&C) and maintenance constraints. Request in cooperation with the Project sub-system design leader deviations whenever appropriate.
- Analyze design inputs and change requests coming from customer, design or site activities and deliver application drawings accordingly. Inform and report on related technical impact and modifications to Project sub-system design leader as support to Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) impact assessment
- Contribute actively to design reviews whenever needed
- Ensure proper configuration management of his own deliverables. Organize and produce documental design deliveries accordingly to the project templates and needs, in interface with installation and T&C teams
- Provide activity progress reports, warn in case of quality / time deviation
- Ensure independence of the design activity from the verification activity
- Verify and commit on the produced deliverables and sign them according to customer qualification standards
- Understand and include Return on Experience conclusion in his own production
Performance management:
- Project QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) commitment
- On-time-delivery for drawings deliverables according to project planning and DML (EDP - Engineering Delivery Performance)
- Defect detected (DQI - Delivery Quality Indicator)
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Graduated in Two-year technical degree in Electrical / Electronical skills
Desirable:
- Railway transport trainings certification
- CAD knowledge
Experience
Mandatory:
- 1 year in Interlocking (IXL) and/or Train Management System (TMS) and/or European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) application design or
- 1 year experience in relevant positions (systems / sub-system application design) in a highly complex and normative environment (railway signaling, aerospace, defense).
Desirable:
- Application Design processes understanding.
- Signaling / Electrical background in railway environment
- At least 2 years in relevant positions (systems / sub-system application design) in a highly complex and normative environment (railway signaling, aerospace, defense)

- Understanding and knowledge of signaling principles and rules
- Computer Aided Design (CAD) related skills
