We are looking for an Application Domain Owner (ADO) to join our Digital Engagement Solutions (DES) Tribe.

You will join the Digital Engagement Solutions (DES) Tribe in the Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division.

Main objective of this Tribe is to deliver Euroclear customers frontend services and products, in a reliable and stable manner, to monitor their activities, enable reporting and allow transactions execution.

General Job description:

As an Application Domain Owner at Euroclear, you will be the strategic and technical leader responsible for all the applications within the Communication and Reporting domains that are managed by the GDC DES Tribe. You will ensure that these applications are architecturally robust, operationally stable, resilient and continuously evolving to meet business needs and technology standards.

The Role/responsibilities

Domain Ownership & Architecture

• Own and create the architecture and design of all applications within the domain.
• Maintain and evolve the domain application roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Ensure systems are maintainable, supportable, and aligned with Euroclear’s enterprise standards, and client expectations.
• Reinforce standardization and reusability of components and services.
• Reinforce the “run” vision by maintaining control over asset-level architecture and documentation.
• Have a holistic view on different cross-domain initiatives that could influence DES tribe’s roadmap
• Acts as the contact point for other Tribe ADOs and ensures domain-wide consistency

Change & Continuous Improvement

• Engage early in projects and Epics to influence critical decisions related to architecture, design, and testing strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance on architectural choices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
• Actively engage in new initiatives and feasibility studies, with the ability to provide cost estimates.
• Review and validate solution designs proposed by solution architects to ensure consistency and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement across the domain by streamlining processes (e.g., estimation, documentation, reuse).
• Accountable for application security standards with secure coding, including responses to SAST, DAST, Penetration testing.
• Accountable for implementing security measures and validating deviations from standards
• Control and influence planning to prioritize technical debt, Problem management, performance monitoring at tribe level

Asset & Application Management

• Maintain an accurate domain asset inventory.
• Assign and support Application Owners (AOs) for each application.
• Ensure all applications are compliant with Euroclear’s architectural and operational standards.
• Leads domain-level audits, periodic certifications (e.g. GDPR, DB recertification), and IT control initiatives
• Act as Techno-Functional expert from design phase including the Production Support

Documentation & Onboarding

• Guarantee the availability of a comprehensive onboarding pack for newcomers.
• Ensure documentation reflects the current state of the domain and its applications.

Governance & Collaboration

• Act as the single point of accountability for the domain.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Epic Delivery Owners and Application Owners to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Participate in governance forums and contribute to strategic planning and compliance.
• Run local Application Owners Communities of Practice and provide periodic product evolution reports to tribe leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven strong experience in application architecture, software design, or technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, ideally within financial services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholders’ management skills.
• Capable of maintaining production application software by resolving issues and suggesting improvements.
• Concrete experience with customer/3rdparty facing application
• Experience with resilience related concepts
• Knowledge of current DES applications, Euroclear’s architectural guidelines and tools, as well as the .Net stack, is valuable.
