JB Poindexter (India) Private Limited is the captive shared services unit of the J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. The company, wholly owned by J. B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. & is headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Development Manager to lead the development, enhancement, and support of business-critical applications for our US operations from our India-based Global Capability Center (GCC). This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and people management, ensuring high-quality delivery of custom solutions aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will oversee a multi-technology development team while actively contributing to solution design, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development & Support
• Manage end-to-end development and support of enterprise applications used by US business teams.
• Oversee customization, enhancement, and maintenance of existing systems.
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues and continuous system improvements.
• Drive best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.

2. Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture
• Act as a solution architect for complex business requirements, providing scalable and efficient designs.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks for new initiatives.
• Ensure alignment of technical solutions with enterprise architecture and business strategy.

3. Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers across multiple technology stacks.
• Drive performance management, skill development, and career growth of team members.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with US-based business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with functional, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams across geographies.

5. Delivery & Governance
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Establish and enforce development standards, governance, and processes.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests effectively.

Technology Landscape:
The role will oversee and require familiarity with the following technologies:
• JDE (JD Edwards) Development
• SharePoint Development & Administration
• Full Stack Development (Frontend & Backend technologies)
• RPA using UiPath
• Power BI & Reporting Solutions
• ReportsNow
• Create!form (DSI) and document automation tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in application development and support roles.
• Proven experience managing development teams in a global delivery model.
• Strong expertise in at least one of the listed technologies, with working knowledge across others.
• Experience in solution architecture and designing enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a GCC or offshore delivery model supporting US/Global stakeholders.
• Exposure to ERP systems, especially JD Edwards.
• Experience in automation, reporting, and analytics solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
