You’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, test, enhance, and support applications while working closely with end users and IT leadership.

What You’ll Do

As an Application Developer, you will:

• Design and develop new applications and perform upgrades, fixes, and enhancements to existing applications as assigned.
• Minimize application downtime through thorough design, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
• Design, develop, and test databases as necessary to support applications.
• Assist with planning and estimating work efforts related to new application development, application upgrades, and incident resolution.
• Communicate known and foreseeable issues to IT Leadership.
• Develop and maintain expertise in the use of automated tools for software and database design and implementation.
• Code, test, and debug programs to support organizational requirements. Created code is expected to be thoroughly tested and reasonably free of defects.
• Create system documentation and detailed program specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of technical material and organize and plan work activities and priorities in collaboration based on organizational and leadership direction.
• Collaborate with end users to analyze and resolve issues and define requirements for new applications or functionality.
• Provide necessary training for newly created or upgraded applications or added functionality and features.
• Assume responsibility for on-call production support.
• Maintain appropriate documentation in the IT knowledgebase, ensuring documentation is created as necessary, kept up to date, and periodically reviewed.
• Promote quality improvement, staff and patient safety, and cultural diversity through department operations and personal performance.
• Present a courteous and helpful demeanor, appropriate for age, to all patients, visitors, other employees/medical staff members, or any other person encountered while representing the organization.
• Maintain current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines, and standards necessary to perform job duties in accordance with the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Plan.
• Comply with the requirements of the Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Plan, and Compliance Policies and Procedures, including training requirements.
• Participate in compliance activities under the direction of the Department Manager and Corporate Compliance Officer.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or relevant degree.
• Knowledge of software/hardware capabilities, techniques of general and detailed systems and procedures analysis, program coding and testing, communications concepts, file accessing methods, program structures, utilities, departments business or area of specialization – including business operations, special functions and computer applications; data security and privacy requirements and procedures.
• Knowledge of programming languages including Visual Basic, SQL, Shell Script, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML, and javascript.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management through verbal communication and written communication.
• Ability to understand customer business processes, gather system requirements, create system and application documentation.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional level developer experience.
