Application Developer III – Data & Low-Code Platforms

Location: Remote
Contract- 3 Years W2 Only
Client- Georgia Power
Greencard /US Citizen only

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer III with strong expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, Power Platform, and OutSystems

This role combines data engineering, BI development, and low-code application development in a modern Azure-based lakehouse architecture. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building scalable data-driven applications and enterprise analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Lakehouse Development

• Develop data processing solutions using Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, or Spark SQL)
• Build and maintain solutions within Databricks and Delta Lake environments.
• Implement notebook-based development and optimize lakehouse architectures.
• Apply strong data modeling practices (conceptual, logical, physical, star schema).

Application Development (Low-Code & Enterprise)

• Develop applications using OutSystems (Reactive and/or Traditional Web)
• Build solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Integrate Power Platform components with backend services and data sources.
• Develop and manage custom connectors where needed.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Build enterprise BI solutions using Power BI
• Develop semantic models, DAX measures, and Power Query (M).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

Backend & API Development

• Develop backend services and APIs using Python or C#
• Work with relational databases such as:
  • Azure SQL
  • SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
• Implement secure integration patterns and API security best practices.

Cloud & DevOps

• Develop solutions in Azure cloud environments
• Participate in CI/CD processes using:
  • Git
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub
• Support version control and deployment automation.

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of application development experience.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, Spark SQL)
  • Databricks and Delta Lake
  • OutSystems development
  • Power Apps & Power Automate
  • Power BI (DAX, M, semantic modeling)
• Strong SQL expertise and relational database experience.
• Understanding of data modeling (star schema, lakehouse architecture).
• Experience in Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks:
  • React
  • Angular
  • Vue.js
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures:
  • Kafka
  • Azure Event Hub
• Basic knowledge of containerization and microservices (Docker).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of system security, authentication protocols, and API security best practices.
